Andra Day and Andi Matichak
Cassandra Monique Batie, professionally known as Andra day, is an American R&B musician and singer. In addition to a Grammy Award and Golden Globe Award she's also up for nomination for an Academy Award. Andra Day is a powerful artist and songwriter with a unique voice. She isn't merely a throwback R&B expert. Her roots in gospel music and blues performed with ease and finesse are passed on to the present. Andra Day's debut Cheers to Autumn (2015) topped the R&B/hiphop charts. Her contributions towards Marshall (2017) earned the singer a Grammy Award as well as an Academy Award. Amen (2018), Make Your Troubles go Away (2020) and their Golden Globe winning portrayal of Billie Holiday (The United States vs. Billie Holiday 2021) are all contributing to the excitement for the album she will release next. Andra is born Cassandra Monique Batie on Edmonds Washington. After growing up living in San Diego and surrounding areas her first performance was at church, and then enrolled in at the School of Creative and Performing Arts. After leaving the School of Creative and Performing Arts, Day started to concentrate on modern R&B and pop, but she soon realized her jazz-inspired soul influences were what she was most drawn to. Kai Millard Morris was able to attend a show she performed and took Day's songs home with him. Motown legend Adrian Gurvitz was introduced to Day by the Motown legend. Day has been signed to Warner Bros. after gaining an enormous YouTube following with Gurvitz as well as Jeffrey Evans Buskin. The song was picked up promptly by radio DJs. The album she released her debut Cheers to the Autumn (2015) was produced by the Adrian Gurvitz. The album was released by Warner Bros. Records. It featured the hit song"Rise Up," which was the anthem for protests for social justice around the world. The album received nominations two times for Grammys. The album was nominated as Best R&B Album. In 2019 she released her second album The United States vs. Billie Holiday a concept album about the life of the legendary jazz singer. In the same year, she appeared in a biopic on Holiday's life, The United States vs. Billie Holiday (2021). Andi Matichak is a famous American actor. She first appeared on television shows such as Orange Is the New Black or Blue Bloods prior to her debut in the horror films Halloween in addition to sequels. Andi Mattichak was born May 3, 1994, in Framingham Massachusetts.
