Sara Ramirez was born in Mexico. She is an American Mexican actress. Also, she sings. Her greatest break came in her performance as The Lady of The Lake as she appeared in the original Broadway adaptation of Spamalot. She won the Tony Award and received great reviews for her role. In 2007 she was cast in the ABC program Grey's Anatomy and became more popular. A singer by profession, she's also produced one single and an extended work. In addition, she has been a vocal advocate for LGBT issues.
